🎨 Sometimes, it feels wonderful to revisit a cherished corner of the past, dust off old memories, and look with fresh eyes at something that once held a special place in our hearts.
That's exactly what I decided to do.
I brought back to life some of my old, slightly grotesque yet endearingly quirky characters, whose predecessors once found their way onto the pages of Füles, a Hungarian puzzle and humor magazine.
Back then, I used to scan my drawings and color them digitally.
This time, however, I chose a different artistic path. Since pastel pencils have become my favorite medium for creating realistic artwork, I thought: why not bring these two seemingly different worlds together?
And so, my old characters were given a new look. The softness of pastels, their delicate transitions and unique atmosphere now intertwine with a touch of playfulness and whimsical, grotesque humor.
They have traveled from the past, but now carry the touch of the present.
And here is the result of my little nostalgic artistic adventure!
But what could be the punchline? After all, a character like this surely deserves a good joke!

جيرجي باكسا: رحلة قصيرة عبر الزمن في عالم رسوماتي... 🎨
أحياناً، يكون من الرائع العودة إلى زاوية عزيزة من الماضي، ونفض الغبار عن ذكريات قديمة، وإعادة النظر بعيون جديدة إلى شيءٍ كان يومًا ما يحتل مكانة خاصة في قلوبنا.
وهذا بالضبط ما قررت القيام به.
لقد أعدتُ إحياء بعض شخصياتي القديمة؛ تلك الشخصيات التي تتسم بطابع غريب -ربما يميل إلى الغرابة الموحشة قليلًا- لكنها في الوقت ذاته تمتلك جاذبية طريفة ومحببة. شخصياتٌ ظهرت أسلافها سابقًا على صفحات مجلة "فوليس" (Füles) المجرية، المتخصصة في الألغاز والفكاهة.
في ذلك الوقت، كنت أقوم بمسح رسومي ضوئيًا وتلوينها رقمياً. أما هذه المرة، فقد اخترت مساراً فنياً مختلفاً؛ فبما أن أقلام الباستيل أصبحت أداتي المفضلة لإنشاء أعمال فنية واقعية، فكرتُ: لِمَ لا أجمع بين هذين العالمين اللذين يبدوان مختلفين تماماً؟
وهكذا، اكتست شخصياتي القديمة حلةً جديدة؛ حيث تداخلت نعومة الباستيل، وتدرجاته اللونية الرقيقة، وأجواؤه الفريدة، مع لمسة من المرح والفكاهة الغريبة والمبتكرة.
لقد جاءت هذه الشخصيات من الماضي، لكنها تحمل الآن بصمة الحاضر.
وها هي نتيجة مغامرتي الفنية الصغيرة المفعمة بالحنين!
ولكن، ما الذي يمكن أن تكون عليه "القفشة" أو النكتة الختامية؟ ففي نهاية المطاف، تستحق شخصية كهذه بالتأكيد دعابةً ظريفة! 😊
والآن، أترك الباقي لمخيلتكم؛ فأنا متشوق لسماع الأفكار الطريفة، أو الحوارات الذكية، أو التحولات غير المتوقعة التي قد يوحي بها هذا المشهد.
أما عن "القفشة" الخاصة بي، فسأحتفظ بها سراً في الوقت الحالي... لكنني أعدكم بالكشف عنها قريباً!
