   About the Former Syrian Cartoon Website

    1. Looking back at the former Syrian Cartoon website and its 21-year journey, how would you describe your experience with the platform and its contribution to your work as an artist?

    The former Syrian Cartoon website was the first specialized cartoon platform I used, approximately six or seven years ago.

    Honestly, it was one of the best experiences I had with a specialized platform. It was smooth, easy to use, and straightforward, without unnecessary complications. It made it easy for artists to follow competitions, events, and opportunities within the international cartoon community.

    2. How would you evaluate the role of Raed Khalil, the website's director and an artist, in developing the platform, communicating with artists, and strengthening the international cartoon community?

    Without any exaggeration or courtesy, I believe that Raed Khalil played a very important role in supporting cartoon competitions, particularly newly established competitions appearing for the first time.

    He has consistently supported these competitions and artists with great dedication and energy. In my experience, he is an artist who is not primarily motivated by financial considerations, and he is understanding of the needs of artists and organizers.

    He has helped many competitions and artists gain visibility and reach the international cartoon scene. I believe his efforts have made a significant contribution to connecting artists and competitions with the wider international cartoon community.

    3. Based on your experience, how would you evaluate the professionalism of the platform in communicating with artists, collaborating with them, and working toward its future development?

    I do not think I am in a position to fairly evaluate this aspect, because both the platform and its director have a long-standing experience in this field.

    Considering my own experience compared with their many years of work, I would rather not evaluate a journey that has been built over such a long period.

    4. Which aspects of the former website do you consider valuable and worth preserving? What aspects, if any, could be improved?

    One of the most valuable aspects of the former platform was its continuous updating of competitions, events, and new activities. I believe this is an important feature that should definitely be preserved in the new platform.

    Looking toward the future, I would suggest creating dedicated accounts for festival and competition organizers. This would allow organizers to submit their competitions and events directly to the platform.

    Such a system would benefit both sides: it would reduce the effort required by the Syriacartoon team to search for new competitions, while also giving organizers a direct and convenient way to share their competitions with cartoonists around the world.

    5. What comments, observations, or constructive recommendations would you like to share regarding the new Syriacartoon platform and its future development?

    My main suggestion would be to introduce a rating system for cartoon competitions published on the website.

    Artists could rate competitions based on their experiences, allowing the community to identify the highest-rated and most reliable competitions.

    I believe such a system would provide artists with an additional tool to help them decide which competitions are truly worth participating in. It could also encourage competition organizers to continuously improve their organization, transparency, and communication with artists.

    Finally, I wish the Syriacartoon platform every success in its new chapter. I hope it will continue its important role as a bridge connecting cartoonists, competitions, and festivals from around the world.

١. بالنظر إلى موقع "سوريا كارتون" السابق ومسيرته الممتدة على مدار ٢١ عاماً، كيف تصف تجربتك مع المنصة ومساهمتها في عملك كفنان؟

كان موقع "سوريا كارتون" السابق أول منصة متخصصة في الرسوم المتحركة استخدمتها، قبل حوالي ست أو سبع سنوات.
بصراحة، كانت من أفضل تجاربي مع المنصات المتخصصة. كانت سلسة وسهلة الاستخدام وبسيطة، من دون أي تعقيدات غير ضرورية. سهّلت على الفنانين متابعة المسابقات والفعاليات والفرص المتاحة في مجتمع الرسوم المتحركة الدولي.

٢. كيف تقيّم دور رائد خليل، مدير الموقع والفنان، في تطوير المنصة، والتواصل مع الفنانين، وتعزيز مجتمع الرسوم المتحركة العالمي؟

بدون أي مبالغة أو مجاملة، أعتقد أن رائد خليل لعب دورًا بالغ الأهمية في دعم مسابقات الرسوم المتحركة، لا سيما المسابقات حديثة التأسيس التي تظهر لأول مرة.

لقد دأب على دعم هذه المسابقات والفنانين بتفانٍ وحماس كبيرين. من واقع خبرتي، هو فنان لا تحركه اعتبارات مالية في المقام الأول، وهو متفهم لاحتياجات الفنانين والمنظمين.
لقد ساعد العديد من المسابقات والفنانين على اكتساب شهرة والوصول إلى الساحة الدولية للرسوم المتحركة. أعتقد أن جهوده أسهمت بشكل كبير في ربط الفنانين والمسابقات بمجتمع الرسوم المتحركة العالمي الأوسع.

3. بناءً على خبرتك، كيف تقيّم احترافية المنصة في التواصل مع الفنانين، والتعاون معهم، والعمل على تطويرها مستقبلًا؟

لا أعتقد أنني في وضع يسمح لي بتقييم هذا الجانب بموضوعية، لأن المنصة ومديرها يتمتعان بخبرة طويلة في هذا المجال.
وبالنظر إلى خبرتي الشخصية مقارنةً بسنوات عملهم الطويلة، أفضّل عدم تقييم مسيرة بُنيت على مدى هذه المدة الطويلة.

4. ما هي جوانب الموقع الإلكتروني السابق التي تعتبرها قيّمة وتستحق الحفاظ عليها؟ وما هي الجوانب التي يمكن تحسينها، إن وُجدت؟

كان من أبرز جوانب المنصة السابقة تحديثها المستمر للمسابقات والفعاليات والأنشطة الجديدة. أعتقد أن هذه ميزة مهمة يجب الحفاظ عليها في المنصة الجديدة.

بالنظر إلى المستقبل، أقترح إنشاء حسابات مخصصة لمنظمي المهرجانات والمسابقات. سيتيح ذلك للمنظمين إمكانية إضافة مسابقاتهم وفعالياتهم مباشرةً إلى المنصة.

أقترح بشكل أساسي استحداث نظام تقييم لمسابقات الرسوم الكاريكاتورية المنشورة على الموقع الإلكتروني.

سيتمكن الفنانون من تقييم المسابقات بناءً على تجاربهم، مما يتيح للمجتمع تحديد المسابقات الأعلى تقييمًا والأكثر موثوقية.

أعتقد أن هذا النظام سيوفر للفنانين أداة إضافية تساعدهم على تحديد المسابقات التي تستحق المشاركة فيها. كما سيشجع منظمي المسابقات على التحسين المستمر لتنظيمهم وشفافيتهم وتواصلهم مع الفنانين.

أخيراً، أتمنى لمنصة "سيريا كارتون" كل التوفيق في مرحلتها الجديدة. وآمل أن تواصل دورها المهم كجسر يربط رسامي الكاريكاتير والمسابقات والمهرجانات من جميع أنحاء العالم.
